Destiny Transportation is seeking a Local Driver for an immediate opening in our Chicago, IL Terminal. We are seeking applicants that are focused on driving long-term growth of our thriving transportation business. You will work closely with the dispatcher and interface directly with customers and fellow drivers to ensure safe and timely delivery per contract requirements. As a Local driver, you’ll start your week on Monday and finish up on Fridays, having the weekends off. This position will require the pickup and delivery of freight in various conditions at both Destiny Transportation and customer facilities using the same techniques and procedures as a dockworker. In addition each driver is required to inspect their loads and the equipment before leaving the facility. You’ll be in charge of operating commercial motor vehicles in urban, suburban and rural areas in all weather conditions to pick up and deliver freight.
